Sam Bartholow

Sam Bartholow is our 2s teacher and newest addition to the Colonial family. Fresh from the shores of Hawaii, Sam is back in Maryland after spending 7 years on the islands. Before moving to Hawaii she taught kindergarten in Harford County for 2 years. While in Hawaii she got married, taught 1st grade for three years, taught 3rd grade for one year and was nominated for Teacher of the Year! While in Hawaii, she and her husband Jason welcomed their, son, Riley (3) into the world.

Sam graduated Frostburg University with a B.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and holds a M.A in At-Risk Students from Goucher College. In addition she holds a 90 Hour Early Childhood Credential from the State of Maryland. She has worked in childcare centers with infants, two-year olds and preschoolers.

Sam enjoys working with the little ones and engaging them in active, exciting and often messy activities. She can be found singing, dancing and playing in our 2s room, or in the sandbox teaching them her other passion, beach volleyball.
